How does direct settlement work on Séjournée?

Séjournée provides tools to find a partner, define a collaboration, sign and track content. Venue-creator payments are settled directly between the parties.
Two separate relationships
The venue purchases a collaboration credit or subscribes to Séjournée’s matching tools. These fees do not pay the creator or include the stay.
The venue and creator separately agree on the stay, content and any cash remuneration. Séjournée takes no commission on that remuneration. Subscribers do not need to buy additional credits.
Before the stay: record the terms
The agreement identifies both parties and specifies dates, accommodation, meals, brief, deliverables, revisions and usage rights. If money is due, the parties define the payment method and deadline. Creators prepare their own invoices or required documents.
Optional professional verification does not replace each party’s obligations or certify the tax treatment of an international transaction.
After the stay: previews, approval and final files
Creators upload previews for review alongside the final files. They prepare any watermarks themselves: Séjournée does not automatically add them. Venues can approve or request revisions covered by the agreement.
If the parties chose release after payment, final files remain inaccessible to the venue until approval and creator confirmation of payment receipt. This is a declaration, not bank verification by Séjournée. Without additional cash remuneration, approval enables release.
Previews do not grant exploitation rights. Access controls cannot prevent every unlawful copy: usage remains governed by the agreement.
Delays, cancellation and unpaid amounts
Parties discuss issues in their file and retain relevant evidence. Séjournée may facilitate discussion but does not issue binding dispute decisions, collect penalties or guarantee recovery.
Consult the service terms and the agreement actually signed. For an earlier collaboration with platform-managed payment, its own documents remain authoritative: the new offer does not rewrite them.

Keep clear supporting records
Keep the signed agreement, revision requests, invoices and payment records. A transfer reference shared in the conversation can help identify a payment, but it does not replace actual receipt. Creators should only confirm settlement after receiving the full agreed amount, including any agreed additional charges.
For cross-border projects, discuss the currency, any bank fees and required documents together. The currency displayed in Séjournée does not, by itself, determine the tax treatment of a service. Accommodation provided in exchange for content has economic value even when no bank transfer takes place. Each party remains responsible for understanding their own obligations and seeking suitable advice when necessary.
In France, legally formed agreements bind their parties: see Article 1103 of the French Civil Code. The signed document and the rules applicable to the situation remain the reference. A status shown by a workflow tool does not replace these obligations or certify that a payment has reached a bank account.
